Brief company history

    1957

    Founding of Carnehl Fahrzeugbau. Rental of small workshop in Pattensen
  •  

    1962

    Construction of our first self-owned factory floor in Pattensen: A 400 m² hall was created on 2 500 m² for the production of all types of bodies, as well as trailers and semitrailers
  •  

    1973

    Adoption of the contractual partnership with Mercedes-Benz and founding of Carnehl KG
  •  

    1985

    Rental of a workshop in Wülfingen to meet increasing demand
  •  

    1991

    Construction of the current headquarters of Carnehl Fahrzeugbau in Pattensen. The new company site was constructed in a newly opened industrial estate. The old leasing contracts and sites were terminated or sold.
  •  

    1992

    Incorporation of an operation in Wittstock/Dosse, which is currently used for producing the individual components. These are then delivered to the main site in Pattensen for final assembly.
  •  

    1994

    In collaboration with the Swedish steel construction company SSAB, Carnehl was the first company in Europe to produce a half skip from high-quality HARDOX steel.
  •  

    1995

    The first prototypes were produced and tested after the yearlong development phase.
  •  

    1996

    Serial production of HARDOX round tippers starts: A saving of 1 000 KG net weight gives the client 1 000 KG more load capacity.
  •  

    1997

    Incorporation of 3 and 4 axle truck bodies into the product range, following the same concept.
  •  

    2005

    Expansion of the company premises by 15 000 m², with the construction of a new 3 268 m² hall.
  •  

    2008

    Expansion of production in Pattensen: Purchase of an 8000 m² site on which a new warehouse and another production facility, with a total floor space of  4 536 m³, were constructed.
  •  

    2009

    3-axle moving floor trailer added to the product range.
  •  

    2011

    Certification in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001:2008.
  •  

    2012

    Purchase of another site measuring approx. 6 000 m³
  •  

    2013

    Construction of another production facility of approx. 5 000 m
